Envision unveiled the world's largest energy storage system at the 3rd EESA Energy Storage Exhibition on September 2nd —— a standard 20-foot single energy storage container offering over 8MWh capacity, marking a significant step for the industry into the era of 8MWh.

In April of this year, CATL released a 6.25MWh energy storage system, prompting several companies within the energy storage industry to launch systems with capacities over 6MWh. Envision's latest release further upgrades the capacity.

The Envision 8MWh+ energy storage system utilizes proprietary high-capacity 700Ah+ cells specifically designed for energy storage. These cells, developed by Envision Energy, represent a new generation of energy storage products with a round-trip efficiency (RTE) of 96% and an energy density of over 440Wh/L, supporting over 15,000 cycles. The combination of these high-energy-density cells with an intensive system design allows the Envision 8MWh+ energy storage system to achieve an energy density of 541kWh/㎡ per unit area, making it the industry's highest energy density storage system and significantly reducing initial installation and per kWh costs.

It is reported that 60% of the capacity breakthrough to over 8MWh+ in a standard 20-foot single container is attributed to the enhanced energy density of the proprietary high-capacity cells, 30% to system integration and further intensive spatial design within the container, and 10% to the optimization of functional units inside the container.

In terms of energy density and system capacity, Envision has repeatedly set new records in the energy storage industry: In April 2023, Envision Energy first launched a 5MWh energy storage system in a 20-foot container and was the first to achieve mass production and delivery, making the 5MWh system the industry standard. In April 2024, Envision Energy released a 5.6MWh energy storage system, becoming the largest capacity direct current (DC)-coupled storage system and further enriching the product lineup of high-capacity energy storage systems.

Envision's system-level products also include three commercial and industrial integrated cabinets with capacities of 215 kWh, 256 kWh, and 372 kWh, as well as a 480kWh zero-carbon ultra-charging pile, providing customers with more energy storage solutions at different application scenario.

Envision also demonstrated its technical and service innovation capabilities in the advanced energy storage system, such as AI+ large model-driven trading and grid-forming solutions, customized "Storage+X" integrated solutions, and full lifecycle services covering the pre, during, and post-project stages.

AI+ Large Model-Driven Trading and Grid-Forming Solutions: Envision's new generation of system-level energy storage is equipped with the EnOS energy management platform, driven by AI and large models, integrating production, trading, and maintenance into an intelligent, automated lifecycle, optimizing the full lifecycle benefits of energy storage market participation; Envision Energy promotes the integration of AI with grid-forming technology, with its proprietary GenGrid generative grid technology, offering a "1+4" full-stack grid solution supporting high-proportion new energy power systems.

Customized "Storage+X" Integrated Solutions: Leveraging its systeml capabilities, Envision Energy can provide "Storage+X" integrated solutions, including wind-storage, photovoltaic-storage, and source-network-load-storage; combined with Envision's full industry chain layout in wind, photovoltaic, storage, hydrogen, and grid, Envision Energy can customize the optimal integrated solutions for customers.

Full Lifecycle Services Covering the Pre, During, and Post-Project Stages:Based on the Envision Greenwich platform, Envision Energy can provide services such as site selection planning, grid structure analysis, and power supply and demand forecasting during the pre-project stage, supporting investment and planning decisions for power stations; based on global logistics and engineering construction solutions, Envision Energy can support high-quality and rapid project delivery; after the project is grid-connected, Envision Energy can also provide customers with a closed-loop solution from long-cycle maintenance to environmentally friendly recycling. Envision has a wealth of experience in the successful construction, delivery, and operation of new energy + energy storage power stations globally, with the capability for full industry chain collaborative innovation, providing customers with full lifecycle services from energy storage systems to power stations to maintenance.

As a global leader in energy storage system integration, Envision Energy has been consistently rated as a Tier 1 energy storage manufacturer by BloombergNEF, with global shipment rankings in the top five. To date, it has participated in over 200 projects worldwide, delivering over 15GWh, including large energy storage projects such as Singapore's Jurong Island project and the UK's Wormald Green project, with a pipeline of orders exceeding 25GWh.
