On September 10th, Huawei unveiled the world's first mass-produced triple-fold smartphone — the Huawei Mate XT Masterpiece.

This triple-fold smartphone offers three distinct screen modes: single-screen, dual-screen, and triple-screen, with two hinges that allow for the selective unfolding of one hinge. In the fully folded single-screen mode, the 6.4-inch screen is indistinguishable from a regular smartphone. When unfolded into a dual-screen mode, the display expands from 6.4 inches to 7.9 inches, with icons and images automatically adjusting accordingly. When all three screens are unfolded, the phone presents a tablet-like 10.2-inch screen, with the entire unfolding process featuring silky smooth and visually pleasing transition animations.

The device integrates the functionalities of both smartphones and tablets, offering multi-scenario applications, photography, systematic AI, satellite phone, and other practical features for business use. It is dubbed the "electronic Maotai" due to its advanced technological components, such as a flexible screen made of multi-directional bendable materials, a triple-fold hinge system using liquid metal, and UTG ultra-thin flexible glass cover.

Excluding the camera section, the device's thickness is only 3.6mm, and the weight of the entire phone does not exceed 300g, making it slimmer and lighter than most tablets of similar size. This also poses a challenge for the battery.

The Huawei Mate XT is equipped with the world's thinnest advanced silicon-based anode high-capacity battery, which is only 1.9mm thick. With three battery cells connected in parallel, it offers a capacity of 5600mAh, balancing a slim design with enduring battery life, and supports 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The battery capacity is a significant upgrade compared to the Mate 60 series' 4750mAh and the Mate X5 folding screen's 5060mAh. The battery material also utilizes high-tensile-strength copper foil and graphene for heat dissipation technologies. As silicon-carbon anode material technology continues to advance and its industrial applications progress, the market can expect more high-performance, long-lasting smart devices in the future.

The triple-fold smartphone is priced in three levels: the 256GB version at 19,999 yuan; the 512GB version at 21,999 yuan; and the 1TB version at 23,999 yuan. It is expected to officially go on sale at 10:08 AM on September 20th.
